It runs on Anthropic's Claude. Each message you send — together with the recent context of that conversation — is passed to Anthropic only to generate the reply. Anthropic deletes it within 30 days and never uses it to train models.
If it detects signs of self-harm or crisis, it steps out of its role and replies with helplines for your country. Those replies never count toward your daily questions. The red Crisis button is one tap away on the chat screen.
Yes. Settings → Delete account removes your account and all your data — you confirm with a fresh code sent to your email, and it's done immediately. Nothing is held hostage.
